Happy Father's Day!

I know the kids are a lot younger here, but they loved those shirts and are so proud of their dad.
We love you!

my camera

Okay, so I got this awesome new camera awhile ago...and I haven't had a chance to really experiment with it. Here I thought that since it had so many functions, it would just take great pictures because it was a great camera. I couldn't have been more wrong. I consider myself a decent picture taker...but when it comes to my new camera...not so much.

So today, I sat down to figure out what it took to get a great picture inside my house. I got my white balance adjusted--:)--but my subject was so wiggly, that I didn't really get any good pictures. (Yes, I'm going with the squirmy subject...) Here's the best I came up with:

Last Day of School

We finished the 2007-2008 school year on Thursday.
A lot has happened this year. The kids sure have grown a lot as well. Its fun to look back at when we began...aren't they cute?

Kade's Bee Sting

So, Kade went to Cub Scouts today to have fun in the water...and ended up with a bee sting.
(His right middle toe.) Another first for us.

Memorial Day

I want to make sure that I take just a few minutes to remember those that we've lost during times of war, and also those continuing to bravely risk their lives daily to preserve our hard-won freedom. There are many soldiers--and civilians--placed in dangerous places around the world in hopes of making it a better place. Thank you for serving your country while putting on a brave face so the rest of us don't have to see what it is really like in places that do not benefit from the myriad of freedoms many Americans take for granted.

Thank you to all those who have served their country in any capacity, you are all important.

Piano in the trees

Our friend let us in on this roadside trinket...
While my pictures are a far cry from the ones that a local professional takes,
we sure had fun taking them.
