This weekend we were able to travel up to some beautiful country and join our good friends who we consider family in celebrating Pioneer Day. Here the kids are waiting for the parade to get started and enjoying themselves.
Later, Kade got to go fishing for the first time. He has really taken a liking to this calming pass time.
Kade had a wonderful time running and playing outside in the cool mountain air. There were so many kids there with such great imaginations, they were never without an exciting activity.
Riley and Calvin are really good friends and were joined by Briley most of the time. Together they ambitiously opened a "Flower Shop" that offered some cutting edge cosmetics including lip gloss and nail polish. All of us special moms got to be patrons during their grand opening...it was so sweet.

Looks like you had a blast. How nice it would be to get away to a cabin and relax.
My goodness too... how did Riley go from having almost no hair to all those beautiful flowing locks!!!

Fun times! We just got home today and already want to drive back to the cabin.
Thanks for posting the pictures--we are horrible at taking pictures--we always forget to take the camera--or just forget to take it out and take pictures. The cabin was a blast--thanks for beating us all at Settlers!
