We spent the weekend in Albuquerque and returned home Monday...on the way home, we encountered some interesting weather patterns. (And, I'll apologize up front for the poor quality of some of these shots. I was actually driving in my car while I took these. And, judging from the proximity of those neat twisty clouds and knowing I had it zoomed all the way out... I was having some freaking out moments...) The tall white smears are windmills.
Looking out the window here we could all clearly define the rotation of the clouds. Having previously done some research via wikipediato put Kade's mind at ease concerning our severe occurances, I was fairly certain we were watching a tornado being born. And, as we raced past it pulling a trailer...I was worried for a while. I was unsure just how quickly these things progressed.

Great pictures and what an adventure. Thanks for Larned also. It makes me home sick for my Mission.
Holy cow. Any pictures I would take in that instance would be horribly blurry. I would be shaking in my shoes.
OH MY GOSH! I love the pictures, and that's so scary! Thanks for sharing those!
That is scary!!!
Wow! Of course it happens right when you are driving on the highway! So scary!
