July 4th (Part 2)

Guess which one she posed for? I finally had to ask her to stand still so I could take a good picture of her... Riley is full of energy and was so excited about the fireworks she couldn't stand still--as you can see.

Riley trotted about the yard with her sparklers more than content.
Cory and Kade, however, are entirely different sorts...they had their sights on the pile of fireworks we'd purchased for this sole purpose. Kade even talked his dad into allowing him to light and throw a few. They are so alike...

We had a good spot on our hill to watch fireworks on all sides. Our neighbors put on some impressive shows. :D However, next year we may choose to make a showing at the town's production--which turned out to be quite impressive for such a small town. (They carried on for a solid 20+ min with an amazing grand finale.) The only part I could do without is the late sunset...it wasn't even beginning to darken till after 9 with town fireworks scheduled for 10pm. It's a good thing our kids are getting bigger. :D

I love Kade's expressions. It's so obvious that he loves and reveres his dad. :)
